my 01 srx 700 will rev to 3000 and sounds like the limiter cuts in now it doesnt do it all the time but a fair bit the thing is when i got this sled the tors was gone and connectors aare hooked together has anyone had this happen possibly bad connection in the plugs?

na, check your Throttle cable, usually being too tight causes the Tors to kick in, very annoying, but saves your sled from a runnaway. should of slack on the cable.

yeah i had it adjusted but then i had the carbs out but left the cable hooked up maybe somethin came out of adjust but should that still matter when the tors sensor is not even there and the wires are hooked together

Did you find anything out yet? My 98 700sx does the same thing. Looking through the forums it looks like alot of people have this issue but I have not seen an answer yet. I thought it was the tors myself but it sounds like yours is bypassed?

The plugs are connected but you unplug the two and plug em into easch other to bypass it, If you cable isn't too tight then its a bad sensor

yeah mine is bypassed and the sensor itself is no longer there just a hole in the bracket where it used to be

the sensor i imagine sends a signal to the cdi and the cdi will control the revs right so im guessing either there is a poor connection where the wires are hooked back into each other or the cdi box has got issues

but i agree with yamidude if your sensor is still intact check your throttle cable its really easy to get them to tight and its easy to check them for that as well
