Boy, Im telling you....been 12 years since I owned a sled, and this past week has been horrible for me...yikes....I have gotten buried twice in two days..each time while putting the sled in reverse, is there a certain way to back up in these things? everytime I try to turn around on a trail, i get stuck for a 1/2 hour...tnite so bad, that I somehow cracked the corner of my windshield....Maybe Im not supposed to sit on it while in reverse...yuck...bad day so far....oh well..hehe..Pete

Ha ha, thats what you get being a yankeelover. JK I would probably just get off when you turn around. less weight digging into the snow making a hole.

how deep is the snow when you back up...they really cant back up in deep snow...if the snow is sucking up your snowflap in reverse chances are it's too deep..

Replace the henway.

what's the henway?

i think its also cause im not used to a sled this big.....My last sled was a 94 arcticcrap puma deluxe..brand new...340....had it one season...and now 14 years later, I have this 96 vmax 600... this is the biggest sled i have ever owned, and it doesnt help that it is 2up seat.. im sure that makes the track a tad longer....I love it though.......Pete

If your in deep/loose snow get off then back up,hard pack stay on,just watch backing so you don't tear off your snow flap...

Most times when you are stuck it is best to go forward. I always carry a tow strap and never ride alone. When stuck i try hooking tow strap to a ski and have friend tug while i am next to sled walking and throttling. Every time my friends were stuck when they put in reverse 9 out of 10 times it gets buried worse. In my opinion reverse it best for moving it out of the garage or off the trailer and useless on the trail. It is ok for parking lots.

ck your snow flap ,,,alot of them will go under and make it impossiable to go any further until it gets ripped off like daman said!

I actually noticed on my DX (same as what you have i believe) it sucks in revers the stock steel skis that are on there just DIG in like crazy, guess that means i am gonna have to put plastic ones on this sled too :)
Might be whats causing it to dig in on ya.
