I know there have been a lot of posts lately about throttle overide, but i've got one more. I want to bypass the TORS to see if it is the cause of my problem. At the handlebars, there is a connector with three wires. One is black/yellow, one is black/white and one is brown. I don't know which ones to jump together to bypass the switch. Can anyone help?

i guess easiest way is follow the wires up from the sensor which is mounted on your carb rack above the throttle linkage

why wouldnt you just bypass it at the carbs? that way it/s plug & play & your not cutting wires??

thats what i was saying justfollow the wires up from the sensor till you find the connector and then hook the two coming down to the sensor from the dash together

it doesnt even go to the dash.it ties into the wiring harness..(weel im sure it does) but it's taped wright up. yeah unhook them a the carbs & hook them into eachother to complete the cirect.

Yes, that is correct.
Check out the TY FAQ Index link in my sig. There is some TORS reading in there with some pictures to help you locate the wires you need to connect to each other to bypass TORS. The forum doesn't reccomend running that way, just for diagnostics.

Thanks for the info and the links. It was all very helpfull. I've given up for today, but tomorrow morning i'll find those connectors. I hope that's the problem.
It is the two wires right next to the idle adjustment screw on the top of the carb rack. No wire cutting necessary.
On a side not, that is a great place to install a tether.

Hey guys, I found the connectors with your help. I bypassed the TORS and problem solved. I guess I need to test the switches at the carbs and the throttle to locate the problem......or just leave it bypassed.

your not gonig to find a probelm at the switchs because they are oviousy working like they should .. is your cable too tight/ or routed wrong?that would cause it to stutter!!
