After working all night on my 96 vmax 600,trying to find spark issue, I replaced Stator ,checked coils ,all switches ,carb sensor,plugs,wires,
Still no good spark
1 spark when first turns over and 1 spark at end of cycle
pulled plugs (for easier starting) and found that when I put my hand on CDI good spark shows up but when plugs are installed , NO SPARK
Tried with 1 plug in and other plug out to view ,touch cdi and it actually started and ran ,reinstalled plug and nothing, after all this ,battery went dead. Checked wire harness for CDI,looks good.
Looking for any and all ideas.

is there a ground wire from the battery to the motor. Not sure on snowmobiles. but we upgrade these on cars we work on for car audio

did you check all coils including pick up coil?
Pickup coil checked ok, checked all grounds and other connections again, whoa and behold seems to be working fine(for now) thanks for the tips!!
#3 wire archs from wire to a ground when its off spark plug ,,,,,, can hear it snapping before cover gets pushed down on plug ,,,,,,,,then once its on ,plug is a dead spark, that loads up exhaust,,,,,,,??? could be why pipes are turning cherry red??? jets are stock and carbs are clean.
