Hey Guys,
Just curious, what does your dream meter read, when you run WOT on a long stretch or lake ?
I have had runs of 112 to 114 mph. This is not a radar speed it is a speedometer reading.

I think we figured it out to being around the 14mph off

The best top speed the 84 VMAX 540 has ever done was 101mph in 2100ft. at a local radar run
reading off radar just a little past 100mph

Ive herd of people grinding off one tooth on the speedo gear and it should give you a more realistic number on the speedo. Not sure if it really works? just here say.

I've gotten mine to read 114 on the speedo but that was in a long run in deep powder. On hard pack its usually between 102 and 106mph

Do you have those backwards? One would think on hardpacked trails it would be much faster, seeing you have less drag under the sled and less for the motor and skid to fight.
must of been serious track spin in the powder.

I had 121 on a piped viper, using the dream meter.
one of the guys i ride with shaved 2 teeth off and his is bang on with the gps. but thats on a apex.
115 Friday on the viper with the new 1 1/4 Preditor track rubbing the protectors. But thats as fast as I have ever saw with my original ripsaw track. Had my son in front of me and told him to watch the speedo, hit 113. Told him that it may not be a good idea to tell mom,but he sold me out!! lol
Saw 118 on my 98 SRX6 on a pretty bare lake.

when i hooked up a viper gauge on my srx.. on the lake with a stock viper track & 192 studs it read 123mph on the dream meter..
124 on a really cold day around -30c. The dcs came on after about 1/2 mile and i had to lift. It did 104 on gps in 1/4 mile on a warmer day with no dcs light, The speedo showed 117. This was in my stock 04 Viper S.
I have had my 04 Viper S with elec. start and rev. and no modifications at all bouncing 187-192 km/h on the dream-meter. It was on a 21 mile long lake under perfect snow/ice conditions and -13*C. Some would say that it will never run that fast with the extra weight and stock everything even track, but thats what I saw. Dream-meter remember, GPS i was told is the only true way to find out for sure.

buddy of mine radared his 02 srx @113 on the weekend (trail setup ) his viper went 107,machz 800 (3x3) 116, 800 xp 109,apex 106, rx1 101...... his 113 run speedo was reaing about 190 km/h(srx)
I just ran my SX 700 last week on very hard pack road to a max speed of 103 on GPS, my speedo top out at around 115, I did not look very long at the speedo at that speed, I could check the gps for max speed ever achieved when i stopped. At lower speeds, around 60mph on the speedo my gps is reading around 54. The faster I go the more the speedo is off. I am not sure how gringing off a gear on the speedo would change the outcome other than just not work???
