Can anyone tell me how to check the coolant sensor on a viper? I searched and got lots of good info but nothing on actually testing the sensor.

Remove sensor then stick sensor in water at temp then take your reading..
Thanks. I will check it. Its doing the 8 flashes and I cant find the break or short.

Found it. Wire is broke right where it attaches to the plug on the sensor. This could be a tough fix unless I can lengthen the wires and put on a new plug. Any suggestions?
I bought a "KIT" from Heckels in Eagle River Wisconsin.. it was a whole KIT with the terminals and socket thingy!!!
