Over Reving

im trying to get it to climb from like 8,100 8,200rpm up to 8500, maybe load the engine more, just seems to be a little flat, goes right to 8500, feels like i could have more pull.. this is my first clutching work I have done, added weight, springs, and helix at once. seems to take longer to get to top end speed.. thanks for any advice.
switch your wrap to 60

i believe a higher initial angle would make it upshift even faster, I thought- - no?

sure it will....going from a 51/45 to a 53/45 would make it pull harder initially, which would decrease the initial rpms some too.

thanks for advice.. mopar-mod--YAMMIE, I guess i'll try the 60 wrap when i go up to ride friday, I weight 180# geared up, I was worried about slipage if I went less wrap,

not sure about all your clutching but its something easy to try ....u can try to run a green seconday spring if its slip

while im here I wanted your opinions on my setup, 2000 srx 700 (stock)8dn's, (added) loaded arms with 4.5 nut & bolt, y-s-y, green at 70, haulk 51/45. goes right to 8500 and stays there, I guess I want it to climb slower to maximum rpm .. to pull a little harder, sugestions?

I will, I have no internet conn. up there,-- till I get back sunday eve, so any changes I can try the better. Its cold outside , would have to trailer home to do any involved work, dont do well in the cold- unless i'm riding.

4 time mean something bad with thumb warmer (shorting of thumb warmer is detected)...... u press to hard on the gaz lolll :jump:

8400 slowly to 8500 but my temp light blinks 4 times at wot only.

sanka, now this is w/your engagement shims out and leaving all else the same from before? if so, see how much better it is w/shims out? what is engagement rpm now?

Well not sure now I'm pulling the crank now and having it redone. The rod on the mag side has a bad lower bearing.
