'94 vmax 600 - handwarmer switch?

Hey Guys, I just got a 94 vmax 600. It has the factory handwarmers and thumbwarmers. The thing I don't like is for the switch it's just on-off. My buddy has a 94 vmax4, his has off-low-high. What would I need to use a three position switch like his?

Or another friend has a 99 vmax that has a dial for the handwarmers, can rig it up for something like that?

you can add both of them to your sled, call North Country Yamaha or Port Washington and they can hook you up with a reostat dial adjust, or ant after market shop can get the Hi-Lo Off switch, try Rich Motorports.

Hand warmers

You may want to try and see if the variable switch that is used on the newer sleds will work on your V-Max. I have a 1994 600 also and I know that the grips can get really hot somtimes. I put hot grips on a 1989 Ovation and it has a two position switch that puts some of the current thru a big bleeder resistor, so it then has a Hi-Lo setting. A variable pot would work better, but it will have to be able to handle the current. Again, I think that one of the ones for a newer sled would work. Might just have to solder some wires and get the schematic out to make it work... Good luck!
