boy, tonight just gets better...finnaly got the tors working...seemd to be ice under the throttle....but now, was riding along in the snowstorm, and my rear suspension is frozen up, it wont come down at all...any idea how much dealer gets to rebuild suspension..this is above and beyond my skills, im not even gonna atempt to build it...all my money went into this sled, now this. might have to let this one sit now till spring....this ever happen to anyone? its almost like I dropped 3-4 inches, and it wont come back, i even flipped it on its side, and I cant even pull it back...I thank you, Pete

ICE ICE ICE, more then likely its iced up.
If you park it full of snow and don't lift it up and get most of the snow out on these real cold days things freeze up and stick and/or break. My XT was frooze solid last year when i did that i had to chip all the ice out of the shocks and clean it all out before i could even move the sled Not a fun thing to do trust me.

There could be water in the shock which is now ice. Heat the body with a heat gun or torch. If it frees up, you need to replace or rebuild the shock.

Do you have a place where you can thaw it out? Where abouts in NY are you, maybe I can help.

will look at it today

after i watch the giants beat the iggles today, I will go and look at it...so, would Ice cause it to drop? its frozen up towards the tunnel...its like im riding on the ground almost....I thaught if the shock was bad, when I lifted up the rear end, I would atleast be able to move the track in the correct positon.....there was two of us trying to pull down and it wouldnt budge......we went on long 2 hour ride..then I parked it for about one hour, with the back end up...then went riding again..I do know lots of water was dripping down from the exchangers, maybe something froze, and when I hit a big bump, got stuck up in there.....very odd...

They can do some weird things i would definetly try and warm it up and see if you can get it to break free warm then you atleast know if its something with them components freezing.

As far as the dealer serviceing the suspension i can't give you what they would charge but can tell you it will be high as both my suspension rebuilds where i did the labor ran 100-350 bux depending on the bushings shafts and bearings that need to be replaced. It also took about 6hrs on 1 and 2 on the other.

Well, since the Eagles beatthe giants, I am wondering if you got around to thawing the sled out?

Even if you need to RR the suspension, it is an easy task, just time and a few $$. Paying the dealer would be a big waste of $$.

haha...yeah..giants stung me...

yes, got to it last night....took hair dryer to it..defrosted everything, then I found the two(cant believe only two) grease fittings in the rear.... each took about 10 squirts before grease started to come out the side, and not it works fine...not sure if it was dry..maybe that was why it froze up, maybe water got in the arms somehow...not sure, but its working....I still cant believe only two grease fittings on this vmax track(remember this is not the XT version..)thanks, Pete

I thought the same on the DX the XT has like 8 i believe but that DX has many shafts that are not greased you have to actually remove then to grease which I did during the summer when i rebuilt the skid not the best idea they ever had
