I just installed new factory grips on my '98 SRX 700. Seems like the thumb warmer is overheating as is gets so hot you can hardly touch it. By the time you turn it down to cool it down, then the grips are not warm enough. This sled only has one control for hands and thumb.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

i think this is a common problem thats why most guys want 2001 or newer so you can controll them seperate ......all 4 of my sleds are the same way ....grips are just rite ..and thumb is hotter than hell ...

Just wondering, can you put a switch on the thumb wire so you can turn on and off as needed. Will the hand warmers still work? I have separate controls and almost never need the thumb warmer on.

Good Idea ^^! I have (3) yammi's just like this one and never had a problem. My (2) '01's never had any issues.

Switch installed tomorrow!

Thanks!
