Anyone use the haulk speed sheeve on there srx.... if so did you go with the recomendation of gearing down 2 teeth or leave it stock gearing...what difference did you see...? thanks wondering if you left it stock gearing if she'd still have the hp to reach top speed without gearing down...

sheave
Have a speed sheave and you don't have to gear it down but you could to get better take off and keep your top end 'cause it is an overdrive sheave. You will notice that if you get it very hot it will warp a little but since it is a machined sheave it goes back to shape when it cools down, I'm talking driving slow and working it hard. Now if you go that route you should check to see if you secondary is opening up enough to take advantage of the overdrive sheave. My stock helix had to have the inside in front of the bushing ground down to the bushing. Anybody with a die grinder can do this. Hopefully this isn't too long winded and it helps.

I have an 01 SRX with a Hauck speed sheave. I dropped 1 tooth on the top gear and it runs like a raped ape with no probloems.
