54/44 vs. 53/43 Helix VIPER
Looking to do the common viper clutch mod -- 53/43 Helix and Green Secondary spring. I found a 54/44 dalton helix and wanted to know how different this setup would be... Would I be better off with the 53/43 or will I not even notice a difference between the two being that they are so similar?

The common helix swap is off a rx1 apex or warrior, and would be 51/43 Part #8fa 17604-00-00, id# on helix 8fa00

Turk's setup in the the TECH section calls for a 53/43 and many on this board are running this setup. I've not heard many using an RX1 helix. What other changes should be made if using an RX-1 Helix?

54/44 is so close it,s allmost negligible. It may drop you 1-200 rpm,s but pull harder.

Thanks, Turk. I can get a great deal on a 54/44, but didn't want to go with it unless I knew it wasn't going to dramatically change it. It sounds like i would be fine with it and that it will be much better than the stock setup.
