I recently bought a 91 phazer II and don't think the heated grips are working. Also, I had some issues with the lights burning out and through searching found that i should be looking at getting a new voltage regulator assy which i have ordered. My question is will putting in a new one possibly make my grips work again? Not sure if that part is tied to the grips or not as well. Thanks in advance, it's nice to find a forum with some phazer knowledge finally.
might fix the warmers ...but i would think they would still work ..but just be really hott due to too much voltage ...or they might have got burned out from too much voltage ....
I guess I'll find out when i put the new one in, should be in within a day.

The grips are not tied to the regulator. Standard circuit test procedures will need to be done to locate the problem. There is a wiring diagram in the operators manual.

Is there an online manual somewhere for these things?
Installed the new regulator and took it for a spin, looks like everything is a-ok as of now. While installing a new headlight i found the cause of my non-working handgrips.... the wiring is all stripped up....
How it got like that is beyond me... I'm going to pick up some wire and see if i can replace the messed up pieces. We'll see again how much this sled wants to come back, but all i know is i froze my hands off going out tonight with temps in the teens or lower.
