i want to put some new skis on a 96 vmax xt. just looking to see what anyone else is using. brand, style, ect..... i mostly ride ice and off trail. any and all imput would be great.
Just installed a set of 2001 SX plastic ski's on son's phazer. Easy installation on a tss suspension. Slight modification to aluminum base. Makes sled look and handle much better.

I just put Viper skis on my 94 Vmax 600. I went off of this from tech section. RX-1 or Viper skis with the aluminum saddles will work. You can also use about any skis with aluminum saddles. I heard Ski doo skis work well also.

Yep the Ski-doo are a little closer in width and only require 2 modifications
1. Grind the front saddle where the nut hits the saddle you only need to grind out a half moon about 1/2 a nickle in size.
2. Fill the back of the saddle in with some caulk or something so the ski won't dip to far to the front.
Any of the above listed should work as well. The good part is you can pick up a lot of OEM takeoffs for 100-150 off ebay.
