Ok i need some help here. I have a 98 srx 700 trail ported don't know by who. Mega power pump gas heads, v force 3 reeds. All power valves are clean and adjusted properly not pulled through. It has a Maxximum performance roller secondary on it with a 54-44 helix and a red spring. Primary has heel clickers with red spring. The problem I am having is it seems to be shifting out to fast. the hole shot is great and it pulls like a freight train then the rpm's drop to around 7200 and won't climb from there. If I let off and roll back into the throttle it will pick them up and pull to 8300. it just seems to be when there is a heavy load. The sled is trail ridden and I weigh 250 lbs. I rode the sled like this all last winter and just lived with it but I need it fixed this year. Also I bought the sled with all of this on there with a blown motor. I installed the new ported cylinders that I purchased from this site along with new pistons. Thanks for any help.

sounds like you need to get a shallower helix. upshifting too fast, then leading to an overshift....thus the reason for rpms dropping off to 7200.

Thats what I was kind of wondering? Now anyone have any suggestions for helix and know where I might find one?

I would try a green secondary spring first. Red is kind of wimpy with clickers.
go with green at 60-80 wrap. red is slipping the belt.
