picked up a 98 srx700 with a 144x2 track with ported cylinders-one of them scored badly.will using a stock cyl. along with the two other ported ones harm anything? i know i will be down a little on hp. but i want to get this thing going because a friend wants to buy it in the worst way, but dont want it to grenade since i do all the wrenching on his sleds! also if you guys have a cylinder, piston, and possibly a head (this one is pitted badly) pm me with a price. thanks

You dont wan to run un even cylinders. Find a complete stock set or find one and have it ported to match.

ok now im confused- today i talked with a guy with a sxr700. when he bought the sled used it had every imaginable hauck part on it. he couldnt get it to run right so he just took the thing up to hauck and had them tune it. when he picked it up from them he was informed that it had two ported cylinders and one unported. they told him that it wouldnt affect anything. anybody else have any opinions on this?
