quick question on adjusting a belt. I understand that there are three bolts that need to come out and either add or remove washers? where are these bolts? are they the three on the back side of the secondary? closest to engine, and if so, whats the easiest way to get to them? take the whole sheave off first? I cant seem to fit any tools down there.. and just by looking at these three bolts, I dont see that there are any washers in there, at least just by looking, and I think my belt is alittle tight, will a belt loosen up with time? I believe its the correct size belt, just seems snug on there, and everynow and then, when I take off, or slow down, you can hear it squeak, if i replace with looser belt, squeak goes away, but my loose belt is too worn to use...thanks for the info, Pete
Remove the secondary, it takes a 14 mm socket. Once secondary is removed, the 3 bolts with 8 mm heads are the adjustment bolts. If belt is too tight remove a single washer on all three bolts and reinstall bolts into secondary. Reinstall, secondary on sled and test. If no washers are present and belt is still too tight, I would be suspicius of correct belt.
check the tips of the bolts they can also wear and need to be replaced.

You might want to confirm that you also have the correct center to center distance and offset, should be on you beltguard.

Those bolts can wear down after awhile, and the stopper can get dimpled. I bought new bolts, washers and a new stopper.
