I am trying to get my rpm down on the shift and top end a little and would like to know what a gram in each weight will bring my rpms down to, on average. I have searched and can't find it!!!!! The other post was confusing about one gram total or one gram in each. I am going to have to use washers under the rivits because I am loaded!

A one gram washer added to each weight should bring down rpm's by 100-200. How much (rpm) are you over reving?

I am at about 8400 - 8600 when I initally pin it and it walks up a little from there all depending on conditions of course. I have been told that it likes 8300-8400 rpm for my 600. I have the secondary set at 70......and I know I can go to 60 but I ride in the powder and tight trails and I would like to keep my secondary up in the 70-80 ranges. I am a 160 pound rider with 8df weights loaded g-w-g primary and a bender 53-45 helix with a green spring. I have ordered the weights from yami and all I need to do is get some washers and peen the rivits over them correct. Going to have 5.5 in the tip!! Oh and test ofcourse!!!!!
you need to be 82-8400
add 1 washer under each rivet
your losing a lot of hp at present rpm,s.

Instead of using washers, you can also use the 5.5 gram nut/washer combo. I believe I got these from hauck power sports years ago. I have used them in my 700sx for many years, just used some threadlocker.

Give them a call @ 715-234-6195 - good to work with.. order them over the phone. have used them, come in handy once you get that d..b rivet out.. (limited tools at time).
