Sorry- i am a complete newbie- but I have a 1976 Yamaha exciter 440 that runs great all day but when I go to full throtle it will bog out and lose power. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Fuel pump ?, impulse lines cracked ?..crankcase seals
just bad enough to not give the full pulse ? More of
a problem with diaph carbs than your Mikuni but maybe
its not carrying enough gas in the bowl for high speed.

Hey guys I found what the problem was, thanks for all your help, after I cleaned the carb, cleaned and adjusted the clutch there was still a problem so I finally gave up and started checking the fuel lines and found that the fuel line was collasped under the gas tank. She runs like a dream now, thanks for all your help.
