Started the day off with premium gas (Shell gas station) ran for about 2 hours with no problems, until I came around a corner and the engine bogged as if I hit the kill switch. The sled slowed down to a complete stop with engine running, so i let it idle for 20 seconds and started off as if there was nothing wrong till the next hill or corner. This continued on for the remainder of the trip till i could get to an area where i could get towed. Any ideas what i should check or do? Its almost like a gas line is being pinched or something is in the tank blocking the intake hose.

Carbs cleaned this year and set up.
Clutches and power valves cleaned as well.

I'm pretty new to the sled what is the TORS and why would the throttle cable being to taught do this?

Update!!!!!

I just went out to the sled and disconnected the TORS (two wires leading to the carbs) but still is bogging. Sometimes when I get on the throttle it's fine and other times it bogs right out. :o|

There is a sensor that compares the throttle positions at the carb and the grip. I had one that would run wide open down the trail and when you backed off the throttle....it would bog down to an idle. Once at idle I could pin it again. You may have to add only one mm slack to the throttle cable.

Do a search on TORS to figure out what I am getting at and a quick bypass to figure out if it is a bad sensor. If you don't have 2mm free play at your throttle and handlebars, I would say it's too tight.

If you bypassed correctly, then I am wrong. I just saw your post.

i think when you bypass you have to unplug wires then plug the two from harness back into each other or it wont run, did you do that?

I bypassed the TORS but did not plug them back into one another. The sled still ran but it was bogging all the time.

Can anyone confirm that I have to plug the wires back together for this to work correct?

Yes, you have to plug the wires into each other to properly by-pass and test it. If it cures the problem, then try loosening your throttle cable a little bit, reconnect TORS, and try again. This is the first thing to eliminate.

I looked at the throttle cable and it does have some play in it but I will have to try plugging the wire back into them selves tomorrow.

Thanks You all your help guys!! If anyone has any other suggestions please chime in.

IT WORKS!!!! ;)! Just want to thank everyone that help me on this thread and over the phone! I bypassed the TORS and it is running fine, plug it back in and runs like #$%&* but at least I can go sledding today.

Anyone know the part number I need to order for the sensor?

Thanks everyone!!

PS. I raced two Apex's and a Nitro on the lake yesterday and smoked them all.
There all driving 2008's and a little old 700 SRX left them standing still.

Sorry Tyler for being in such a rush yesterday to get to work. I wasn't thinking that the TORS connectors were the two connectors (I was thinking it was the single connector for the TPS for some reason), and yes, you had to plug them in together. I'm glad to hear that it's running good.
