Did a search on low end bog, but I didn't find anything that fit my scenario. Today was the first time I ever noticed it, slowing down to go over railway tracks (could see a headlight coming too!) bogged out a bit but came right back when I hit the throttle. It doesn't happen every time I slow down. I can run 5km/h and no bog or slow down to 5km/h and no bog, it seems to happen when I slow down and then give it a bit of gas to pass over tracks/roads etc. Again, not every time. I bought this sled used from a dealership, so I can't guarantee that the carbs, jets or PV's were cleaned. I thought it might be a fouled plug so I changed them, but the same thing is happening.

your best bet is to clean your carbs... Power valves wouldn't give ya a bog on low end as they are (or should be) closed, and even if they were open i doubt it would bog.
Haven't cleaned the carbs (because I'm a rookie and don't want to wreck the whole engine) I did notice yesterday that the rpm's don't come down very quick. almost like the carbs are loaded up. If I let it get under 2500rpm, it's fine. Someone at the clubhouse said a dirty clutch could do this too? I'd like to have some ideas for when I take it in to the dealership

check the tech section for the carb cleaning 101, nothing to it, you really can't diagnose the idle hang until you know the carbs are clean and back in spec

It is not the clutch. Sounds like either a dirty pilot which I dought because it would do it all the time. More than likely a lean bog. Turn your fuel screws out of go up on pilot size. And that is why your idle is hanging up. If you flip the choke it would come down.
Thanks guys, being a rookie, I'm not about to play with the carbs myself. I called a shop to get it done for me. Hopefully I'll get it in this week. I was asking about the clutching because it seems engage kind of hard. My engagement is at 4k, is this normal or should I get them to check that out to?
I have the same sled and have a similar bog for years but never had any problems on the trail. It's a split second lean bog at around 4k when the sled is barely moving. Fuel screw are richer than stock and it still does it, I'll have to go w/ a bigger pilot jet. It only happens if you go wot at that rpm.
For your hang idle try to get a bigger pilot and adjust your idle below 1500 rpm.
But make sure the carbs are clean first.
4k is about right for engagement, could be a bit lower, if it's harsh your primary clutch might be binding/sticking. Good idea to have it cleaned/checked.
