Help!! Chaincase axle bearing.Venom er

Take the backside seal out (the one towards the shaft seal). It will wick oil into the bearing which acts as a filter. If you take the frontside seal off, the oil in the chaincase goes directly into the bearing along with all of the metal particles that come off a chain. Those metal particles will shorten the life of the bearing.
 
I think i'm going to leave both bearing seals on.The axel seal does'nt, in my opinion, need any gear oil to live, the speedo side does just fine dry.A little oil will get thru anyway.
