All i can say is when using wisecos you have to make sure the piston clearances are spot on. When using wisecos on a machine with iron bore cylinders you should always have them bored out to the next size and to wisecos specs.A worn std bore cylinder and std wisecos is asking for trouble. The piston is manufactured to std bore specs which is loose to begin with, now your adding more piston clearance because of worn cylinder, even slightly worn your addding more clearnce to an already loose fitting piston. Also wisecos expand slower and more than a cast piston, they need more warm up time. Personally when i have used wisecos on an ironbore motor (phazer) i have always had it bored out oversized to wisecos specs and used oversized pistons, this takes away any doubts about the piston clearances. ?????? maybe the problem? hope you figure it out.
