We just returned tonight from our trip to Wellston, MI area. Well good news is we all survived without insident. Trails were a little lumpy on Sat. alot of traffic and a few idiots on the trails. People still do not know hand signals. We saw the remnents of a collision in the Caberfe trail system, everyone involved were ok machines where minor problems. People involved were pissed at each other, and of coarse each persons buddy's had to add their .02 worth. On Sunday I thought we would have a good ride North and then back track to Lost Pines Lodge. We ran into a group of 4 Yamaha riders which were completely out of control. I being in the front of 3 sleds was ran off the trail by the first on coming SRX. My son dove off behind me with his Phazer II and then immediatly came another SRX faster than the first which just missed my son's sled which is completely off the trail in the deep snow. The second sled did manage to miss my wife and just spedd off again not slowing at all. The third was a SXV young girl not exactly knowing age came around corner sliding head on into my SX, I was waving arms and yelling. The Fourth sled was an Apex I think, he came around corner slower and made it. Not one sled came back to help the girl. No damage but a scratched front bumper to mine, hers was smashed into belly, I really did not care about hers. I seperated sleds and advised to slow down. Remember we were completly off of the trail in the powder stopped. I was so pissed I was ready to head back and leave. We did continue to Lost Pines to have hot coffee and a break at this point we had already traveled about 130 miles on Sunday. Ran the remaining 35 miles back to cabin in Wellston. If it wasn't for the few idiots on the trail it would have been a great weekend. Please everyone slow down on the trail, it is not a race track, remember people are coming the opposite direction also. Ride safe Al
