replacing handle bar warmers

I still have the original set on my 98. The little tab (where da wires go) that sticks out of the grip got hit by something and got ripped off.
Can anyone recommend a good grip?? Do some work better or install easier?
Or are they all basically the same.......................thanks

the oem are nice...easy to install, slip on , rivet and plug in...plus the new oem are softer then aftermarket.

Can aftermarket j-hooks be installed on these with no problems to the heating?

if they go in like the billet handle bar ends....yes.

So just cut the end of the factory grip and slide the j-hook inside the bar and that's it?

yes...be careful not to cut into the main part of the grip...just through that soft rubber end.

Ok great. Will my stock cover still fit over the sled with these j-hooks installed? Some people think not.....lol.

It should still fit as i think the MM has the narrow handlebars like SRX has.

it gets tight sometimes but most of those covers have the strechy top material ....mine still fits with the handgaurds on the wide handlebars.
