Can a heated helmet shield work on a 2000 SRX?

HI everyone,
I just purchased a new HJC helmet, and it is horrible! It is cold and it fogs up quickly! The shop claims that a heated shield works great and I should get one. However with the SRX can I use it? I realize that the sled has no battery, so is that a problem? How would I hook up the actual wires?

Thanks,
Zack

Check out this post in the TY tech section, it should give you an idea how to hook it up. You do not have to flush mount a plug like they have but the rest is near the same. New heated shield will come with all wiring. They do not fog or ice up!! I use one on my HJC. -Ed

I have one on my 02 Viper ER and wouldn't ride without it. Mine is connected directly to the battery. But, on my old 1995 Vmax I tapped into the grip heater circuit and it worked great. Just be sure to put an in-line fuse to protect the shield and the grip circuits.
