I am new to this forum and need some help with my 700 Venture year 2000.
It start very easy , idle and I can drive away. But when then RPM reach 5500 it start bog.
I have cleaned the carburators , fuel pump , tank and tryed with another cdi box and coils. Bogs at 5500rpm. The Tors are switced out and now I am getting VERY frustated !!
Help please.

Seems to run lean on MJ (main Jet) or Needle set to lean!

Check the reeds.
Hows the oil pump cable looking?, tried new plugs right?

Could be a clutch binding issue. Check and clean them both
The oil pump cable ?? My spark plug are new and my clutch are newly rebuild and works fine.The main jet should not be lean, have been used with the same setting for years.
It sound to me almost like when the TORS been activated or like a rev limiter.....
From idle to 5500 rpm it is fine!!
