I thought it wouldne happen, Now it has, 3 seperate pieces.. And supposed to go on a trip sat. Thats how it goes right..
Ad in calssifieds if anyone has one for sale in SW Michigan...
I may have to weld this one back together If I cant get a replacement in time.. It will be a challenge though..
 
Yes, But my worry is that one side down by the mount looks bent a little,
I know I can weld it up but if I had a unbroken one I could take measurments from so I get it square or aligned correctly..
 
I'd like to see a picture of a reinforced one also, mine has a very slight crack in it and I would like to repair it before it ends up in many pieces. -Ed
 
I have a buddy that has a spare welded one I will see if he will part with it. I also have one that is cracked, but not yet welded. If you wanted to get it welded, you can use it for the rest of the season. Just get it back to me in the spring. I could even get it welded for you if you pay for it. Normally I'd take care of it and just let you use it, but being unemployed I have to curb my expenses.
 
Mine was cracked in a few places last season. sxr700bandit from here did a kickass job of re-welding and strengthening my W arm.. I have no doubts this will not crack again. He is in SE MI, but might be worth the drive? He knows these parts in and out, and can take dims from his own. In fact, Im going to his place today to have some more welding done (I break stuff). ;)!
 
Thanks to Jeff on here, ( dont kow his screen name, But picked up a whole rear skid. Going to weld up the new one and use that, and weld up the broken one. PIcs would be good if anyone has some of a reinforced one....
 
I am going to blast and weld up the new one tonight. Get it painted for now,
Powder coating will have to wait until summer.
Put it in and ride.
