Hi: Did you change your CDI box? If this is an SRX you are refering to the stock CDI retards pretty quick after 8400-8500RPM. Hauck sells the proper CDI to match their pipes. I trust you have called Haucks tech line...I find them very helpful especially when you talk to Pat. 90 is way too slow for this sled.

i have haucks cdi ,boost bottle ,bored carbs ,race ported running 110fuel pre mix /big bore pipes/compression is great checked pvs and adjusted them today ,i need to be up around 8700 to make hp i know that had a problem with the secondary binding because a dalton red wrapped to 60 was to long i think its all in my clutching but have tryed numerous weights and either im at 9200 or way under which i am now numerous springs ,gears etc.if i could get it over 110 id be happy .which for this machine doesnt seem to hard
Sounds like you've got all the right stuff! That sled should do over 110mph easy! I use Thundrershift or Heavy Hitters on pretty well all my sleds, I like the 53/45 Helix and would use the Yamaha Green Secondary Spring, I find the "Speed Ring" over drive primary slower on top then the Standard primary. Your present gearing would be good for @ 110 if you can get your RPM's up, I myself would run 23/38. You may want to try different primary springs to get your RPM's up. Just my 2 cents...my 1 1/4 - 144",long travel 2002 SRX, with reverse runs over 100mph[GPS] on hard pack without any problem...my 1999 SX 700 Trail Mod[when it had a 121" track] did a best of 116mph all on GPS. VMAX4 Mod REAL FAST

Get rid of that boost bottle. They will result in power losses. I just proved that on the dyno.
Here's a reference for you. My trail setup 780, which made 181 hp on the dyno at Dynotech runs over 125 mph in 2000' with trail studs and a trail track on ice. I haven't even played with the setup much, and I believe there's a 130 in it with good air.
I am geared for 120 mph at 1:1. My secondary setup is roughly a 42 finish angle with an OEM red secondary spring, wrapped at 60, and I am pulling 8800 rpm with this and approx. 61 grams for weights.
Have you been to the dyno with your motor?

That is one strong SRX...what pipes are you using for 8800RPM?

It should not be peaking at 8800. It should be peaking at 8400-8500. I have an issue between 8000-8600 rpm where the power goes flat, then climbs rapidly from 86-8800, then falls normally. When I get it figured out, it should peak about 6-8 more hp at 8400-8500, according to all the other power curves of motors using these pipes. It's a strange issue.
The pipes are Bender 835 pipes.
