how many people love to see the rcmp out on the trails.I think its great but people still have the old thinking that it stops them from drinking one officer said they had to dump out 600 bottles of bear in one trail block in a day. There are still people that dont respect what we work so hard to keep.Comon its time for these people to grow up before they hurt this sport

I am not a beer drinker at all, I really do not like the taste. I would rather have a mixed drink. I do not like to see anyone drinking while on the trail. This year I have seen less multiple drinking in the bars though. Just remember 2 beers will put you over the limit, and it will go against your drivers lisence. Alcohol makes a person feel warmer only because it enlarges the veins thus makes the skin warmer. The real aspect of this when the blood returns to your heart it is cool and eventually it will lower your whole core temperature quicker than if no alcohol present. Just remember if you are going to have a drink. Do it once your are back at the lodge or your room. Do not go out for another midnight run. It is just plain dangerous. Good Luck Al

Seeing Bear on the trail would scare the crap out of me. Why aren't they hibernating anyway?

Odd question: Do polar bears hibernate? I really don't know the answer to that one.

Sorry guys, just having fun . . .

Actually, bears don't really hibernate anyways. They do become less active but they don't hibernate in the true sense of the word. Polar bears sleep even less than brown, and black bears. Now turtles and frogs really hibernate.

That said, if you think seeing a bear on the trail is scary, these rcmp are mega tough guys to dump out 1 bear, let alone 600 in a day.

Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do?
;)!

Yah, years ago we had the misfortune to drive across a bear den unknowingly and cave it in. That bear wasn't awake, but he sure wasn't asleep either.

Keep it up, you guys are making me laugh !!!

Just passing the time away:)

I saw 1 bear and a cub about 100 yards off the trail once, but I never drove across one in a den.
I have to go shoot the sh$t with a buddy of mine who just got back from work in Kentucky (no offense kysledneck).

Maybe he will have some new bear stories for me to tell. We might have a bearor 2 even. Or maybe he will tell me about the women he has seen there with 1 tooth a piece. LOL

You could be a bare drinker, but probably not a bear drinker, unless you stayed at a Holiday Inn last night!
