belt for 600 vmax

going on a big trip tomorrow way back in the bush to my bro,s camp with friends of course ,what would be the best belt to get for my 94 vmax 600? goodyear powerstreak or the stock yammy?going out today with some friends on a short 80 mile warm up run as tomorrow should be about 200 or so miles total for sat and sunday,should be a blast.

thanks daman on my way to the dealer in 5 ,everybody have a great weekend .p.s we will also be pulling out a 500 xc polaris that self destructed last weekend from the bush ,that really sucks as i never like to see anybody bummed out over a burnt down sled.(blown motor).think the moral of the story is never trust anybody saying to you as you buy your sled ,i set the carbs up your good to go!make sure yourself!

thanks will do expecially after we just had a death on the local trails the other day.looks to me like the poor fellow missed a turn and went over a embankment into a small ravine and proably got crushed by his machine.sad.

The original PN was 89L-17641-00-00, but this number may not be available new anymore. The current version is 89L-17641-01-00.

Ive always used Carlisle ultimax xs, they are IMO leaps and bounds above every other belt out there. They are softer than the stock yami, giving you much better take off. Yes it can shorten the life of the belt, but I have about 1300kms on my current belt and its still well within spec. Plus carlisle is awesome for warranty on belts as long as you have the cardboard from the belt and your receipt.

They are expensive belts but well worth it, I have a new Yamaha belt I tried for one ride and I gave it to a friend, Id never put it back on again.

10-XS805 is the part number for your sled ( same as my 97)

ps. I do a lot of trail/lake running and I am often driving through a foot of snow/6-8" of slush and these belts hold up awesome!
