is no longer hard starting. At minus 12 c, over 50 pulls to get her going. Tonight, minus 3 c, 5 pulls, and we rock and roll........ what a great ride though, lots of snow, nice trails, and my srx is running like a F$#%ing top !!

ok , so what did you do? Sometimes when my SRX is hot it takes more then 3 pulls , after 30 minutes it will start up 1 pull no problem, seems kinda strange .

My SRX was sitting for 2 weeks and we had a cold spell also.Like -35 C. wind chill days.Today I went to start it.at -6C and got it on the 6th pull..which wasn't to bad I think. My SXR also took around 5-6 pulls to start.
Are you guys using the choke to kill the machine when you park it? Helps for easier starting... so I've heard.

I am not exactly sure what the choke thing is, but that seems like it would ruin the plugs?

I didn't do anything, the beast is just really hard to start at below -12 c, the same as my brand new srx was. I don't think there is anything to fix......

i just picked up the srx i have now this year and when i got it you had to pull till the verge of a heart attack to start it cold, cleaned the carbs and power valves, jetted to 01 specs, and did a rering (with one new head and piston ha ha) now it starts in three pulls cold, and one light pull hot. guess i got lucky (as long as you consider rebuilding lucky)
