I was riding over the weekend and when i left for my ride my headlight was working low beam when i got to my destation the low beam was out and the tail light and tach and when i turned on the high beam everything worked and the switch was fine when i tested it so i went and followed the wiring harness and moved it around under the exhaust and buy the wiring where it comes out of the engine and now it works does yamaha have a problom with the wiring rubs through under the engine ? or where do i look? thanks if you can help
Yes, it is a common problem. Unplug the harness and rewrap the wires individually. Finish up with some convoluted loom.
