Where have people seen wire rub areas causing electrical issues. I seem to have that problem, but can not locate the source. I would think one would be able to see evidence on the wrap!!

How is the electrical issue affecting your sled? Then maybe we can suggest a common area for that problem.
Headlight, tail light and instrument cluster working on and off...Sled runs fine....Warmers work fine...

You have to pull the loom off the harness..... sometimes you wont seen any sign of wear on the outside.... but on the inside the wires are bare and touching each other. I personally have never had any wire harness issues with mine but it is a very common problem and its not always as easy as just looking for the wear marks on the loom.... You have to almost inspect each wire individually to make 100% certain that you fix it correctly
I don't have the same sled but, I just got done fixing a wire rub-through issue on wires that were in a plastic loom in the steering column. The loom looked ok but the wires inside broke because of the flexing and bending each time I turned the handle bars either way.

Common areas:
Under engine harness, wiring under tank and seat, wiring under cdi in left footwell, around steering column...
Read your other post, I'd look real hard around the column since turning left and right make your headlights go on/off...

I posted some pictures of the rub through that I found last night. This was affecting my TORS system and they wires were in that black tubing so you will have to open it all up. Good Luck Man!!

That harness pulls up from the motor kind of hard right? i had all the clamps off the harness but it seemed real hard to pull out from under the motor so i just left it... Now i gotta fix it because i kept putting it off and i dont wont more serious problems.
Thanks for all the help. I found 1 rub area under the motor. Had to pull the harness all the way out, peel everything off, and go over with a fine tooth comb.. Also found another area by the steering column. Seems to be resolved...
