and for the crank if its weld where the crank is press together the update have been done to it

Mine is not welded. A dealer pulled up the VIN and told me the bulletin had been completed 1/27/99. Would they have dropped a new crank in it instead of welding it?

I guess its a possibilty, It could have been changed by a previous owner. However my dealer here was welding them at that time per yamaha's instruction.

I beleive any SRX/Viper crank from 2000 and up came from the factory welded. I have'nt had my 02 SRX crank out, but others I've seen were all welded. I have a used 2003 VIPER crank that is also welded.

Google..."2002 SRX Viper crankshafts" I beleive its an american snowmobile article. It has pictures of both cranks.
