Nasty vibration with M10 installed

Hey Guys,

I just had an M-10 installed in my 02 SRX 700 and now I seem to have a vibration that starts at about 70mph and gets worse as I go faster. Sled also seems to run out of steam at 90 mph plus. I have 192 studs and it didn't vibrate much at all with the proaction right up to 110mph. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

I have heard that M10's like a looser track. Normally I look for 1-2 inches of sag on my proaction, but I was told by Fast to allow 2-3 inches.

Also, one year I cut my hyfax a little long in the rear and had vibration at speed. I cut it about 1/2 inch shorter and also chamfered it at the front and rear and the vibration went away.

Something to try....

I know they just put new hyfax's on the skid. The shop that installed it said they thought it could be the number of studs in my skid and the balancing of those studs?

Is there any thing else you have done to the sled since the m10 install???? Loose the track up like posted above and make sure all the bolts they installed with are tight...Look over the track really good!!!!Whats the belt like maybe burned spot?

Mine vibrates but I always blamed it on the 1-1/4 iceripper and extroverted drivers. As far as scrubbing your top speed, you need to run your track sloppy loose.

I've tried the track so loose that it rachets and that helped a bit but still some vibration. The dealer is telling me it's because I have studs on the outside lug 192. Has anyone run into this?
