OK, so I need to remove the oil I have in the oil reservoir right now, but I am not having any luck
I have a little pump that works on a drill, but it isnt strong enough to move the thick/cold oil.
I need to salvage it all, as there are 4 qts of Amsoil in there that I dont want to lose, but I re-ringed my cyls and need to run yamalube for a while to properly seat my rings
Any suggestions to get the oil out, ASIDE from removing the tank itself?

Here's a cheap option...
When I don't have my elec siphon with me, I've had good results with one of these. Granted it will take some time if you have 3-4qts to remove. Daman's idea above is probably your best bet.

nice, now if I was american, Id be all set!!!
But thanks, I will call and see if the auto guys here have a syphon like that
Again, if I didnt care abnout the 40$ worth of amsoil, Id just use a shop vac or something.
I also considered tipping sled on side, then almost right over, and use funnel where fill hole is, but...NO WAY, too risky

yeah with the $$$ ive spent this year, cant afford it....lol
Like the rings I replaced with 400kms on them
Or the 4x Ive pulled the airbox already sine november...Is it true in 2001, the oil and gas cables DONT go through the top of the airbox? Maybe thats why I hate doing it sooo much on my 99. A buddy with a 2001 said his go around the Airbox??
MUST BE NICE!!!!

Its full right to the top, so at 10 bucks a quart, thats too much to waste
The airbox takes about 5 minutes to pull apart and jerk out. About 30 seconds if you leave it all in one piece, but that makes installing it on the carbs a bit tougher.

what year SRX do you have?
Brak it in on amsoil, I've done it with absolutly no problems
99. You are slipping the cables out from under the little holder tab thingy that attaches to the handlebar stem right?
