what will be the effect of soft reeds petal valve in srx

Wouldnt softer pedals mean less snappy throttle response?
what does it change on top rpm and top end

soft petals give you snappier response at low rpm levels, but will flutter at top end, so top end will suffer. why do you want to change to softer petals there modsrx? stiffer petals will be better suited for higher rpm motors, but will give up a little response and hp on the bottom end.

its not for me.. my friend got some v force 3 on his sled ..he try to find problem that start last year .. sled pull till 100 kilometer then rpm drop badly..and sled start to loose speed...i check them today and they start to chip on the top of them and they don't seem to close perfectly ... we put the stock one back on and he did just a little test but sled seem to be ok ..not 100% sure for now..thats why i ask if it could be a possible problem
don't tell me to check power and other things lolllll everything i could check i did and still cannot put the finger on it ...he is close to sell it

not to hijack the thread, but will worn out reed valves make the cold start even harder then it already is? i'm trying to narrow down things by replacing the fuel pump, reeds, and carb rebuild to see if that helps my hard starting problems

if reeds are worn, it should help the cold start issue, cause it would allow more fuel mixture to pass thru, cause the petals sit open a bit. while the engine is running, it would make the mixture ratio to rich, and cause poor performance. modsrx, maybe your buddies reed petals are worn out, causing them to flutter on top end and create poor top end performance. you said the stock reeds worked better for him? i would just get some carbon tech petals, and bolt them up to the stock cage....good enough.

well he only did a little road test up to 150 km/h and he told me the problem seem to be fix... i will know more about it this week ...he search that problem for 1 year ...oh well the 400$ v force are back in the little box .

yeah, v-forces are junk....IMO.

I'm really trying to narrow down issues why my sled is starting like a mother F*cker when its below 10 degs out.... I mean if its you know 20 deg. or higher it starts in under 5 pulls, but anything colder its not gonna happen easily, if its below 5deg i need to get gas in the cyls, i'm contemplating getting a primer bulb or something.

when i had my '99 700 srx, it was a bugger to start when like 0deg out....like 40 pulls. if i was you, just keep a can of starting fluid in the trunk and when its really cold out, flip up the air filter foam, and give like a 3-4 sec spray. should work.

yep, for sure check that. i've seen a few in my time that have been misadjusted.
