Was in town yesterday watching the usual suspects running down the local strip when a couple new guys pull up . New truck, new enclosed matching trailer, you get the picture. Both brand new nitros, one with mild mods the other with a supercharger. The one with mild mods was'nt that fast but the supercharged WOW , crazy power it was running down everything. I was watching from my truck thinking i wonder how my sled would do against that turbo. Well i took my sled into town today and sure enough they were both there. My sled is an 02 bender piped 780, 136 1 1\4 ripsaw, 8tooth extros HC , roller sec. Made 167 hp on the dyno. 1st sled i ran was a mach 1000, he looked over at me like " Where do you think you're goin" Out of the hole i got him by about 5 lenghts and held him off good for about 800'. Next the guy with the modded nytro nudges right up beside me. I pulled that thing by about 7-8 lenghts and never looked back!By now i've got the attention of the supercharged nytro ( thats running race gas ). I new i was over my head but why not. My sled is setup to run a solid 600-800 ' then im out of gear, but it gets there in a hurry.Out of the hole we were dead even for about 300' then it started to pull by me pretty good i had nothing for him past 80 mph. But that old viper shocked a few people today as it usually does!

Yeah but he didnt get a whole lot for $12,000.00 did he, just about got spanked by a Viper..nice...at least he'll smell like a 2-stroker for awhile.

Hey if we were corned to corner, no differance all! Anyone else had any good results against these turbos?

Good story thanks for sharing. I must go to some ice drags some time. Sounds like fun to watch.
