We were there for a week(Sat to Sat). Maim joined us on the Sunday to make the group 15 strong(2 yellow, 4 green, 7 blue). Damage for the day, one broken spring on F7, missing bogie on F6, missing bogie on Vector GT.
Monday, No maim and two green went home to make us 12. We fixed the F7 in the AM and headed out for the day only to have to pull it in off the lake, pics in the slide-show of why. He went back out on the back up 94 Vmax 600 LOL.
Tuesday, lost one doo(he had to go back to work) and the F7 guy sat out to make us 10. Made a trip to Rocky's.
Wednesday, Four guys headed home(planned) including the F7 guy. Lost a good chunk of the day to fix the left front of an 03 RX1. It got bent sometime Tuesday but we're not sure when/what did it. Trip to Royal to get arms and some custom fab to get them to fit
. Oh, the same RX lost a rear axle wheel as well(bearing let go).
Thursday, played spin the bottle the night before to see which direction we were going to go for an overnighter. Turned out to be east so we headed to Matawa via the NB301 with the intent of obtaining a trail map in Matawa for the next district. We stopped at a few scenic areas as well. After talking to a helpful motel/restaurant owner in Matawa and consulting the map, we decided to head back to North Bay via a different route instead of carrying on further East. Our new plan was to eat in NB and possibly head back to Cache Bay via lake Nippising if we got there early enough. We ate at Don Cherry's and headed out onto the big lake in the dark and during a light snowfall. The GPS worked perfectly and we were back home in around an hour.
Friday, we picked up two locals for the day, two cats, one F6 and one 1100 turbo. The turbo liked its gas but that may have been due to the nut behind the flipper. It was a three belt day, one blue and two green including the turbo sled. Came back across the lake in the dark from the SE corner. 320 KM loop SW of the lake, going trough Alban and over both French and Pickerel rivers. Then up through Restoule. Didn't really need the GPS for the lake as it was a clear night and the locals got us across using landmarks.
