PROBLEM THAT US SRX LOVERS MAY FIND IN AFEW YEARS IS NOS PARTS FROM YAMAHA FOR THESE SLEDS. I ALREADY HEARD YAMAHA WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ALL TWO STROKE STUFF GONE. ALWAYS AFTERMARKET, BUT I NEVER WAS A FAN OF THAT. AS FARR AS THAT 800 SRX, NOPE!!! LIKE SRXBULLY POSTED, THERE WAS A SNO-CROSS '' MOD '' 800 , BUT I DON,T THINK THAT WAS EVER GOING IN A SRX TO BUY. I TOLD YOU GUYS WHAT THE YAMAHA REP TOLD ME IN 2001 AT A DEALER SHOW. '' WHY BUILD A SRX 800 WHEN THE COMPETITION CAN,T BEAT OUR 700 ''. 3:16 (yammie tony)

If you've got the cash, the smart move would be to just scoop up another SRX now to have as a long term parts sled. That would set you up for many more years of running the muscle and not have to rely on yamaha's inventory.

Thanks for the link Racerdan! Very Helpful.
The only thing I need to figure out now is my 1999 SRX600 is brand new and never used. It has been in storage for the last 10 years.NADA listings only show used sleds.....I wonder what it would be worth...

600 Srx
If it is titled or registered....it's used. I'm sure it is a beautiful sled though.

I tend to think that prices are a bit high, but Yami's maintain value much better than the other brands.
Why not ask a lot for a SRX... No more are being made, and there are lots of people out there who love the SRX. They are becoming fewer and far between now and in the next 5 years. If you want to drive one, you'll soon have to pay more in some cases. A good condition SRX might even be considered a collectors item. Some guy might want to add a few more to his collection. We're talking like $4000 bucks here... To some that's a lot, but to others, a spit in the bucket to ride or just own a sled that they love.
I love my Viper myself. I live in Canada and paid $4000 US to have a guy deliver it to my door from MI. This was about 3 years ago for an 03, and it only had 500miles on it. I'm still riding this mint sled with over 3500miles on it now. Did I over pay... maybe, but I got what I wanted... Nice mint sled with low miles. Try to find a Viper like that now... Good luck!

Wow... this thread makes me feel GREAT about my SRX... I picked it up from a friend of my neighbor. He was selling it because his son went off to college and he no longer needed 2 SRX's. It's a 2000 with 1100 miles, not a scratch on her, and runs like a DREAM!!! I have only put a new pair of ski's on, and only paid $1100 for her!!! I have had several other sleds, and none of them even close to compair to this one!
