98 700 srx hp and tricks

I am in the process of completely doing my sled over (BODY AND MOTOR).What all can I do to the motor to add hp with mostly stock parts.I remember seeing something about adding a extra base gasket and someting about drilling the hole bigger in the pistons.can someone please give advice on what to do to help my sled go like...............

RPC / Reichard's Performance Center has a what they call a 700 srx cheater kit for $429. PN#6840 it's for the 98-99's , base gasket head and piston mod and clutch kit
there number is 262-251-8472 / www.rpcracing.com . If you decide to do the piston mod and stuff just make sure you use yamaha pistons and after get them ceramic and molly coated it;s worth the money and peace of mind

The first thing i would do if i were you is clutch it via the tech page, make sure clutches are aligned, and clean and adjust powervalves.

Add 2 additional base gaskets & cut the heads 25-30 thou. Good for 5-6 hp & will run like a 00 SRX. Make sure sled runs at 82-8400 rpm.
