Hi All,
Greetings from Sweden!
I have a problem I just bought a 2001 SXR 700 and decided to clean carbs and check the chain etc, I found a problem when I opened the gear casing the upper gear was loose the nut was not screwed on more than a little bit due to the threads were damaged in the nut so I have to re-cut the thread or buy a new nut (small problem) but my question is what torque I should use on the nut when fitting it?
Thanks

43 ft. lbs
Thanks for the very fast reply daman,
Now I just have to translate ft. lbs to Nm as my torque wrench is in Nm. that should not be a problem.
Thanks a million

That would be 53 Nm. www.onlineconversion.com is a very handy site for converting just about anything.
