I pulled my pv to get the pv cable out. I was reading that the servo will open the whole way if the idle is below 900. Well I was thinking if I pulled the cable out a little will that advance the open position or will it just adjust to the right open position no matter where the cables are at?
I don't want to have my servo set to find out it can over open because the cable were already pulled out a 1/2'' to far.
kinda like there is no stop for fully open and fully closed.

you need the open position on the servo ?? start the sled and idle below 900 and mark the servo.....

I finally got it started and it seems like someone already marked it. I do not have the valves in and it does move but now the cables are pulled the whole way into the housing. I guess when you say it opens up the whole way this means it pulls the pv as tight as it can. Now this is confusing me more.
I have to try and figure out this adjustment of the valves.

update...
Ok I think I got it done now. I had to hold the pv because it kept moving. O held it with the allen key and then it worked like a charm. I do see it can be tricky to get these adjusted right. Anyhow I cleaned the carbs n did the pvs it did start up and seems to be ok with no lights on. right now I am finishing my expert x install. Maybe I will be able to do a lift test in the garage because there it no snow yet.

Just for the record . . .
On a servo motor, the position is controlled by the electric input it receives. The actual mechanical stops will be beyond the range that it moves electronically. Thus the actual mechanical stops have no real affect on anything during normal operation.
The adjustments are simply to set what happens on the other end of the cables when the servo is in a specific position electronically.

not sure i understand what ur doing but this seems odd. fire sled, idle below 900, mark servo, kill engine, make sure servo didn't move, loosen 2 bolts on cable housing, insert 2.5mm allen between the 2 bolt cable housing and the four bolt powervalve housing, adjust cable till touching allen both sides, done
your powervalves should be connected and installed when you do this, no need to be holding them

My pv move very easy. Once I start turning the screw you can watch the pv come out while the housing stays still.
I should of did a vid..oh well.
i though you had to put 12 volt dc thru power valves when adjusting ??

idling it down to 900 does the same thing as adding 12v on the pv plug!!
