I'm surprised Yamaha hasn't done away with the Rip Saw track and replaced it with something else. Everyone I know that has or had the rip saw quickly replaced it on their Yamahas. If not replaced it, gave different options for tracks.

I hope that's not all that has been changed for this year.

I bet that is pretty much all that is changed.

I like the switch to extroverts on the nytro and vector, and the "new " efi motor for the vector.

Obviously better hand warmers are awesome.

If we get anything else from yamaha for 2010, I would be surprised.

I understand extrovert for the XTX and MTX but why on anything else with shorter track? Are they really ratcheting with them?

Well, the track tension needed to keep them from ratcheting is causing greater hyfax wear.

Yamaha has had a problem with hyfax wear for a good number of years now, at least compared to the other 3 brands.

Never had the Mono Shock RA suspension ratchet on my SRX and I keep the track looser then Yamaha specs. Is it caused by the increased torque of the 4 strokes?

Maybe?

I'm not interested in fuel economy, resale value or emissions. How about performance Yamaha? Every other manufacturer if focusing on weight and handling! Whats up?
then you are missing the boat! without paying attention to these things the others will slowly lose sales in this economy. be realistic, not just wishful. I wish they had updated the apex, but the improvements they did are nice. and why would you want different tracks than the ripsaw, it is a great non-studded on trail track, exactly why all the other oems started using it. I think the vector will be an even better trail sled with the updates. like I said, the only suprising thing for me is the apex has such a small amount of updates. wonder what the others (besides polaris) will be doing. I bet about the same, just some tweaking

03viper, I am sure Polaris is doing more than the rush for 2010.

I really like the new vector with the FI engine. Did you see the drag race between the 09 vector gt and the 2010 vector GT? No contest, then they took an 09 apex versus the 2010 vector, and the vector had a better holeshot, and gave the apex a lot more trouble than you might expect. Yes, the apex was faster, but the new vector is a lot faster than the old one.

I agree that polaris has moire than the rush, but that will be the big thing, with some tweaking elsewhere. I was more thinking that noone else will really be doing anything big besides the rush. cat finally has their chassis tuned better and the xp is still new. thats all I meant :)

Not to change the subject, but whats up with the prices of the new sleds? Its getting crazy what the want for a new sled. They can keep the warranty and knock about $3000 off the price of them!!!
