I put mine on forward rotation!!!!!!!
The arrow indicates the rotation direction.

it is forward direction.
If, you notice the arrow normally points of the way of rotation. I have reversed many tracks to gain forward traction. Most tracks have a slight bevel on one side of the lugs. If the track is reversed the lugs are now scooping the snow. I have been running tracks this way since the 80's. just food for thought. Al

Good idea but doesn't the bevel come only after using it? Not when new.

I have always wondered if I would notice the difference in traction.....but doesn't this make it worse for breaking???
Many tracks have what is referred to above as a "bevel", on the traction side of the track (acceleration) when new. The idea here is that the track will compress the snow as it pushes instead of simply scooping it out. This helps improve traction on softer snow conditions. If the track slips enough to find the previous lug's footprint it will lose even more traction. Running them backwards has been used for many years to make them accelerate better especially in drag racing. In soft snow it kinda backfires though. Yes, braking is greatly limited with a track running backwards. Braking is different than acceleration, as the snow that is kicked up remains ahead of the path of travel instead of behind. I strongly advise against running a track backwards on the trail. Racing sure, trail no.
Newer tracks have such good traction capabilities that running some of them backwards actually decreases traction.

This bugged me the first time i installed my ripsaw, when the arrow is showing the right direction the Camoplast name stamp is upsidown. I thought great just installed it the wrong way until it was confirmed that you install using the arrow for direction of traction.
lol thats why i stopped last night .....you think they would make the logo were you can read it and make the arrow match ....guess that would be too easy .....i bet they get 100`s of calls asking this same question ......ReaperSRX said:This bugged me the first time i installed my ripsaw, when the arrow is showing the right direction the Camoplast name stamp is upsidown.
