I just bought a 98 srx 700 that just doesnt seem what it should and I think its the clutch. Comet 108esp, purple spring, unsure of weights. Have three new A-2 arms in a bag of parts. I also have the stock clutch that could use a good cleaning that has the green/green/green spring, again unsure of weight. Sled seems boggy off the line. Is the comet clutch better than stock? I am a 275lb guy and I want this sled to be a contender in the 660' radars. Sled also has the fast inc. M-10 and an aftermarket can. I have used the search tool but I beleive that clutching is user specific so anybody that can help me would be great.
Clutching is not only user specific, but machine and condition specific as well. If you are serious about 660 races then loose the M-10, its going to cost you. As for clutching an SRX for 660 racing, there are several good setup on here that take advantage of the stock clutch and would be near impossible to beat with the comet.
Other then that, I can't really help as all my SRX tips are for long distance top speed type applications.

I'm running the Polaris P85 set up by Hartman Inc. on my Viper. It pulls super hard, and has been very dependable.
