Anyone lookin for a mint srx in Ontario?

Its a 98, mint condition, 4900km, cover, hand amd thumb warmers, shop manual, 96 new studs, track's good, fast as hell, visor plug. not a scratch. 2999.99
 
ya people are definately asking more then what the sleds are worth... they are IMO an amazing sled dont get me wrong and i'll never get rid of mine lol... there was another thread started this week sometime about the exact same thing.... And if I did have the money I would buy another :)
 
I paid 3700.00 for a 2001 SRX in Novemeber of 2008, 6800 Kms. Sled looks nice, no really bad wear. I pulled the carburators off when I got though, all most all of the pilot jets were plugged solid. The guy told me there is absolutly nothing wrong with this machine, just get on it and ride. He told me it is a little hard to start, have to choke it for a while. I said carbs need cleaned, he said no. I prooved him wrong. Thing is that people love these machines, I admit that I like it too but.... all I wanted was an older (affordable) go fast machine. I didn't want to pay the 9 Gs it takes to get onto a newer machine. People are always asking too much for this type of crap. Need to find those people that don't really want to ride the trails anymore, want to get out, never like the SRX cause it hurts the back. Those machines sell for less :)
 
I would bet that nobody could find another one, in nearly as good condition, for any cheaper, unless it had 10,000kms on it. This sled is immaculate
 
I just bought my 2000 SRX W/ 3500 miles, mint no scrathces it has ohlin shocks, front and rear just rebuilt and set up for some one that weighs 210, new Bender can, larger tubes and jets, cold air intake, Set up clutch W/ Bender helex springs and heel kicker weights, new 1.25 ripsaw, new dual skags, new hyfax, cobra windshield, visor defroster plug, and cover for 2500 American. I feel it was not the best of deals but priced juts right and set up perfect for me. So far I had a shop go threw everthing and it is as the seller said it was the mechanich even said it was a very clean sled.
 
bought my 02 srx last spring for $1700. 2000 miles. wasn't the cleanest of sleds but now shes real pretty. I think I got a great deal. picked it up in michigan when the dollar value was the same as Canadian. I dont think a decent SRX should ever sell for less than $1500. I wanna see the value go up but that might take a while.

SOme people are willing to give stuff away because they need the money. IF they try to always get what theyre really worth theyll sit and take way to long to sell.
 
I agree that many srx's are a bit overpriced. Not trying to bash but $1600 to $2200 canadian is a good deal for 00 to 02. It would have to be in absolute pristine mint condition with some extras in real good shape to go for some of the prices people are asking.
