oil pump

i have never had a oil pump issue or taken one apart, my question is on a 96 vmax if the line on the arm goes past the line on the body does it get more oil or less,i dont know if at wot and lines lined up is max or is there more movement to max

if it's going past the line it would be pumping more oil yes,but @wot lines lined up it's at full spec flow. confused?

ok thanks i was just asking because i thought if i let more oil in at wot it might help prevent a melt down from crap fuel what do you think?

No. oil has nothing to do with that, will not help with a burn down or detonation from crap gas.

ok thanks i just thought seeing the only lube difference between 2stroke/4stroke is 4stroke gets lube from crank case 2stroke gets it from its fuel and the alcohol in fuel thins the oil and does like water on waxed car that more would help
