This should go in the tech tips

yea...let me know how the 8" wheels work for you and how well your track and suspension are holding up after some heavy rough miles. I'm curious on the outcome, because M-10 was not designed for the 8" wheels as they affect ride quality and will affect track tension during compresion.

Now I'm wondering how 8" wheels will affect ride quality and track tension during compression? Never heard of these arguments against bigger wheels. Always heard positive feed back.

I run the M-10's on both my sleds and I'm not really sure on the physics of it, but if you go to thier web site, it's on there or bet yet give them a call for even a better explantion. I could be wrong, but one woud think that after almost 15 years of design, testing, re-design and knowing Fast does not use inferior parts on thier skids. If the 8" wheels where the best route for all-round performance....they would use them.

That's what I decided after some heavy thinking.
Fast don't offer them, so the M-10 ain't supposed to have them. My $.02. Not saying you shouldn't put them on. They free up some lost speed and the billet wheels with the "tuning forks" are just the coolest.
You just lose some of the travel and ride that Fast has made a name for theirselves with.
Saying all that, I went with a stock skid in the end. I want to radar run more and I just do little 50-100 mile trail rips so I put a stock skid back in for that. The M-10 was in when I bought it and turned out it was not what I was looking for.
Should probably change my avatar.lol

8" wheels on m-10
I tried big wheels on my m-10 and it would eat the slides in the rear for breakfast. Will not work right. IMHO

M10
I have an Ohlin M10 in my 04 Warrior. I have no sag at all in the set up. 1/2 inch max at 240 lbs. But itis still the best ride I have ever had in a genuine trail cruiser. I have tried to set it with more sag but then it bottoms out way to muh.
